Your Butt Workout Should be “Well-Rounded”
A firm, well-rounded booty is what most men and women aspire to achieve in their aesthetic goals. Let’s face it, a good pair of jeans looks best on someone that has a little “junk in the trunk.” And don’t think people aren’t looking because they are! In order to get jeans to look their best on you then it’s important to know the proper steps to sculpting your lower body.
When setting out to work on your booty with a butt workout, you should consider that variations of tried-and-true moves, like squats and lunges can help you breakthrough a plateau and help in strengthening your entire lower body.
You may be asking yourself, “Why is Wendie telling me about an entire lower body workout when I only want to do a butt workout?” Well, the answer goes back to the old song that starts out, “The knee bone’s connected to the thigh bone, the thigh bone’s connected to the hip bone…” You get the idea. The same goes for your musculature system – it’s all connected. When you work your hamstrings (back of the legs) and the quadriceps (front of the legs) then you will also be engaging the gluts (butt), hence getting a butt workout!
My suggestion would be to perform moves that force you to engage small, stabilizing muscles in the lower body in order to work the larger muscle groups to their max. Squats, walking side-squats, one-legged press, rear and front lunges, and walking lunges are all great examples.
Keep in mind that when doing any of the exercises above one should keep proper form by making sure your knees don’t jet out over your toes when squatting or lunging. Make sure to keep your posture erect and squeeze all the muscles that are working with tension. Also, keep your core engaged on all exercises. Practice and stay consistent on your butt workout and you will soon discover that your well-rounded workout routine will lead to a well-rounded and attractive booty!

Stress Relief Tips and Techniques for Stress Management
Stress is a state of physical, mental or emotional strain that occurs in response to real or perceived events which occur in our everyday lives. It is the way our bodies respond and adjust to a continually changing environment. Stress can be positive or negative. In a positive sense, stress can force us into action; it can induce feelings of excitement and new levels of awareness. In negative sense, it can bring on a range of adverse effects such as anger, depression and extreme anxiety. This can in turn lead to physical problems such as headaches, skin rashes, ulcers, high blood pressure and in extreme case heart disease and stroke.
What Causes Stress
Stressors are the causes of stress; they are events in our lives that threaten or challenge us and can be external or occur in our minds. Stressors come normally in one of three forms: daily hassles, major life events, and catastrophes, and can occur within many domains of life such as family, work and school. Examples of such stressors include upcoming project deadlines, getting married or the death of a loved one.
Stress Management Tips
Know what stresses you most. Not your co-worker, friend, husband, or wife. YOU!! Get your feelings out. Write them out and describe each situation. Share all bad feelings with a friend or in a journal. Before you can conquer your stresses you must know what is stressing you.
Say no. Focus on you own goals, not your spouse’s or parents’. You must know yourself, your dreams, and your passions. If asked to chair another group or take on another responsibility, look at your mission statement or goals for the day. If it is does not fit it there say thank you but I just cannot. Saying no is one of the hardest things in life, but will help make you a success in your chosen field.
Learn to relax. Work hard but know when to take time off to be with the family, go to the beach, or read a book. Work all day if you must but when you get home play in the snow, watch cartoons, or tell your child a story. This allows stress tension to go away and helps you calm the heart’s pace and digest food normally, and protect your immune system. Learn to meditate and take deep breaths to calm down.
Eat healthy. Eat less junk food and more fruit and vegetables for an amazing overall lowering of stress levels. We can actually lower the amount of the bad stress hormone, Cortisol, by taking vitamins. Take those vitamin pills daily.
Keep laughing. Keep a sense of humor. Studies show a good attitude helps lower cancer rates, makes surgery more effective, and keeps a relationship together through hard times.
Ask yourself WHY. Why are you doing this? Write down your wants, needs, goals, hopes, and dreams. Does what you are doing now help you get fulfill any of these things? What is your motivation? The more you understand why you doing what you are doing the less stress you will have. If you cannot come up with a good reason, then stop doing it.
Stay active. Exercise is a great way to relive tension and gives you a great break from exams. A healthy body makes a happy body. Even a three minute jog is helpful at taking your mind off your pressures. You’ll come back with an acute focus and renewed energy.
Follow your bliss. Try to know which subjects and type of people you enjoy. Structure your life around activities that you love. Joseph Campbell, a wise philosopher, advises you to follow your bliss. The more you do in life that goes with your own flow, the more passion you’ll have for what you do.

If possible, choose hair products that are made from natural ingredients such as aloe vera, rosemary and sage.
Hair Loss Prevention Tip 3: Be Kind to Your Hair
Subjecting your hair to frequent dye jobs as well as complicated hairstyles might do your hair follicles harm. If you are serious about hair loss prevention, you should make sure that you are not cruel to your hair.

Tapping Out Anxiety by Re-Channeling it!
Millions of people suffer from anxiety. What are the symptoms? People who suffer from this condition often feel fear and an uncertainty about their future.
This uncertainty bleeds into other parts of their life. Usually it stems from disliking their job and a feeling of despair when they think about work. This also affects home life and can have a negative impact on family members who can feel the negative energy. If you relate to these feelings and have them on a regular basis than you most likely suffer from misdirected energy which is causing anxiety.
Everything we think, feel and do requires energy.
For the body to remain in a state of anxiousness, the brain needs to remain focused on the thoughts needed to create feelings of despair, fear and nausea. Unfortunately, these negative emotions require take large amounts of energy to power them. This leaves little energy left supply feelings of joy, love and pleasure. It is also one of the reasons people feel tired and want to sleep when feeling this way.
You cannot enjoy life when you spend all of your energy worrying about it!Energy is not inherently good or bad, it is neutral. It is the conscious use of energy that determines is constructive or destructive purpose. Take electricity for example; you can use it cook a man’s dinner or to shock him.
Because anxiety is energy it cannot be destroyed; however, it can be re-directed to generate feelings that are positive and constructive to the life we want to live. There is a 4 step process for channeling energy from flowing through negative channels into positive ones.
PAUSE
When you begin to feel fear, nervous or anxious stop and figure out why. This step is imperative to understanding the problem. We will often turn from our fears by consciously not thinking about it.
ASK QUESTIONS
Literally ask yourself, speaking the words out loud, why am I feeling anxious? What is creating this feeling of restlessness? Why am I afraid? What do I believe (either correctly or incorrectly) that is fueling this fear? You may be surprised at what your mind tells you.
LISTEN
It is time to simply listen to what you mind is telling you. Do not judge it. Do not blame or agree with it. Certainly do not justify what it is telling you, just listen. In order for you to positively channel this energy you need to understand the source from where the anxiety is coming from.
TAPPING
Now have an understanding of where the anxiety is coming from you can apply the EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) tapping techniques. Traditional EFT has you tapping with the fingertips of your index finger and middle finger on certain acupressure spots, like your cheekbone, chin or collarbone. Change your tapping meridian point for each reason your mind gave you for feeling anxiety (or, don’t tap the same spot over and over). State the reasons out loud!
Taking the time to apply these techniques when you feel anxiety will have a dramatic and positive impact on how you feel about yourself. There are thousands of inspiring testimonials on the power of EFT and the direct impact it has had to bringing joy, wealth and happiness into people’s lives.

Scientists Prove Learning To Play Music Is Good For Your Brain
Learning to play a musical instrument may not just be good fun and entertaining, but it can actually change your brain.
A recent paper published by Nature Reviews Neuroscience, is a compilation of research findings from scientists all over the world who used all kinds of research methods to show that musical training has a profound impact on your ability to learn other skills such as speech and language, memory and attention and even your ability to express your emotions vocally.
Musical training shown by the research actually adds new neural connections that primes your brain for other forms of human communication.
“A musician’s brain selectively enhances information-bearing elements in sound. In a beautiful interrelationship between sensory and cognitive processes, the nervous system makes associations between complex sounds and what they mean,” Nina Kraus, lead author of the Nature paper and director of Northwestern’s Auditory Neuroscience Laboratory, explained in a statement to the media. “The efficient sound-to-meaning connections are important not only for music but for other aspects of communication.”
Music and more importantly learning music, enhances neuroplasticity, your brains ability to adapt and change. For example children who have had musical training tend to have a bigger vocabulary, and better reading ability than those who have not had any. Children with learning disabilities like dyslexia may be especially helped by music lessons.
The conclusion of their study was written as, “The effect of music training suggests that, akin to physical exercise and its impact on body fitness, music is a resource that tones the brain for auditory fitness and thus requires society to re-examine the role of music in shaping individual development,”
So finally there is some strong scientific evidence to suggest that music has a very important place in our schools curriculum.
Niraj Naik is a pharmacist and health and wellness consultant to several businesses based in the UK. Having a musical background he has focused his attention on using sound and music as a “side effect” free tool for relieving stress, depression and tension which he believes are the main culprits for chronic disease.
He continues his work in his research center based in Langkawi Island, Malaysia. He also runs two successful websites and produces music and sounds with consultant psychiatrist Dr Mrigank Mishra, under the alias amAya, some of which is infused with his novel Trypnaural Brainwave Entrainment Technology designed to increase the natural production of tryptamines, DMT, serotonin and melatonin that can lead to deeper sleep, relaxation and better health.

Cure a Phobia – 3 Common Methods
Of the various methods available to cure a phobia there are three which seem to have become very popular. Each is quite different from the others and which to use is often more to do with what feels right to the individual. Let’s go through the 3 commonest ways to cure a phobia.
Each of the three methods aims to change the way you think about your phobia and in this way change how you react towards the cause of your fear.
#1 – Immersion therapy
Immersion therapy works on the basis that exposing a phobia sufferer to the source of their fear will change how they perceive and react to the causes of the phobia. Usually, the phobia sufferer is gradually exposed to various stimuli which are connected to the phobia. The exposure starts off at a level that the person perceives as non-threatening and which causes no phobic reaction. The stimulus is increased step by step to acclimatise the sufferer to the causes of the fear or phobia. Eventually, the person is exposed to the strongest cause, i.e. a live spider placed on the hand, in a bid to show them that there really is nothing to fear. Some immersion therapy practitioners believe that it is better to expose the person directly to their fear in one big ‘fear rush’ rather than use the step by step approach.
#2 – Cognitive behavioural therapy
Cognitive behavioural therapy, or CBT as it is usually known, works on the principal that our behaviour is triggered by how we think about something. In CBT the emphasis is on how a person thinks and behaves at the present moment rather than looking for and focussing on past events as the cause of the phobia. The goal in CBT is to change how you think about a particular event or issue right at the present time in order to radically alter how you react and behave physically whilst experiencing the event or issue. By simply changing how a person perceives something it is possible to encourage them to react in a different and more positive way. In this way, the unpleasant physical reactions associated with fear and phobias can be reprogrammed into more normal behaviours to eliminate the phobia.
#3 – Mind-Body energy therapy (EFT)
A great deal of serious work and research has been done in the field of mind-body connection resulting in various therapies based upon the premise that we all have a natural energy healing system. All of these energy therapies have their roots in Chinese medicine especially acupuncture. The most potent therapy and the one with the most impressive results appears to be EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) founded by Gary Craig. EFT works by tuning into an emotional issue whilst at the same time stimulating various energy points (acupoints) on the head and body. It has been shown by research and experience that our emotional thoughts are linked to our physical reactions, which is certainly true of fears and phobias, and that by removing this association the emotional issue can be resolved. In other words, you reach a state where you can think about the original issue but without suffering the physical symptoms previously experienced and so have no adverse reaction. When the link between the emotion and the physical reaction is broken the problem is resolved. EFT and other energy practices have made significant inroads for emotional therapy.
Which of these three methods produces the desired result for you is likely to depend on which of them you are most attracted to and have access to. Certainly, the traditional medical profession seems to prefer CBT or immersion therapy because they are somewhat easier to accept using existing ‘standards’ of what constitutes medical treatment. However, more and more medical professionals, from nurses to doctors to psychiatrists, are seeing the amazing results possible with EFT and are adopting it as a significant alternative when the other methods fail (as they so often do). The major difference between the energy therapies compared to CBT is that many of them, especially EFT, can be self-administered easily.

Overcome Phobias with EFT
EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a mind-body natural energy therapy that has proven to be one of the most reliable methods available today to cure a phobia. Created by Gary Craig, this energy method has been used to help sufferers of virtually every type of phobia. Let’s examine why EFT is so effective and how it can help resolve your phobia once and for all.
What is EFT?
EFT is a natural energy protocol that uses two important proven concepts:
1. Our bodies have a natural energy healing system
2. Our mind can control and direct that healing energy
The first of these comes from the proven success of Chinese acupuncture which modern research has shown to have measurable validity. Medical and psychology researchers have been able to show that we do indeed have a natural energy system and that the energy does move through and around the body via ‘invisible’ channels known as meridians.
The second aspect, that we can direct this natural energy with our mind, has also been researched and forms the basis of several psychological systems. The knowledge and application of both of these principles has existed for centuries in most martial arts systems and can be seen in practice at martial arts demonstrations of breaking various objects. A well trained martial artist has learned how to channel the natural body energy and focus this energy with the mind in order to perform what often appear to be incredible feats of power such as smashing concrete blocks with a single hand strike.
EFT is a systematic application of these two concepts to resolve emotional issues that cause physical symptoms and reactions.
The EFT system
To activate and affect changes in the natural energy flow within the body, EFT practitioners gently tap with the fingertips on specific points around the head, chest, and hand of the phobia sufferer. By tapping on these acupoints (acupuncture points) the flow of natural energy is increased and can then be directed. It is well known that when the energy flow is disrupted (i.e. not flowing well around the body) physical ailments or symptoms of illness are felt by a person. At the same time as the energy flow is being stimulated by the tapping, the client is encouraged to focus on a specific event or issue that is related to their phobia. This mental focus directs the healing energy to reduce and latterly remove the physical reactions being experienced as a result of the negative or disturbing event or issue being thought about.
In this way, with EFT it is possible to remove all of the unpleasant reactions felt when encountering the object or situation that brings on a phobic attack. Once the connection between the source of the phobia and the physical reactions associated with it has been broken the phobia simply disappears, usually never to return.
EFT to cure a phobia
The usual way to use EFT to cure a phobia is to identify and then bring to mind a key thought, memory, or event that normally triggers the phobic attack. For most phobia sufferers, just imagining the source of the phobia causes the same physical reactions (as the fear kicks in) as the real thing would do; such is the power of our imaginations it is not necessary to actually have a real experience to have a very real reaction.
To help the phobia sufferer to maintain their mental focus on the key issue, whilst the acupoint energy tapping is taking place, the phobia sufferer normally repeats simple sentences that specify the issue being dealt with. In this way the mind is concentrating on just that issue and not being distracted whilst the healing energy is being encouraged to flow more freely. By repeating the process of using relevant words and phrases (words can be very powerful) with the energy tapping every thought or memory related to the phobia can be eliminated.
This is normally a much gentler and certainly easier process than most of the other methods, such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) or immersion therapy, used to affect a cure for phobias. EFT also usually produces very rapid results even for severe or long term phobias.
